CRCV student Sarfaraz Hussein, and Neslisah Torosdagli have their papers accepted at the IEEE ISBI 2017 conferences.

Both students are supervised by CRCV faculty Prof. Bagci, and the team is collaborating with scientists from Moffitt Cancer Center and NIH.

IEEE ISBI (International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging) is a joint initiative from IEEE Signal Processing Society and The IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society. The IEEE ISBI is a scientific conference dedicated to mathematical, algorithmic, and computational aspects of biomedical imaging, across all scales of observation. It fosters knowledge transfer among different imaging communities and contributes to an integrative approach to biomedical imaging.

The papers accepted for publications are the following:

1) TumorNET: Lung Nodule Characterization using Multi-View Convolutional Neural Network with Gaussian Process. Authors: Sarfaraz Hussein, Robert Gillies, and Ulas Bagci

2) Robust and Fully Automated Segmentation of Mandible from CT Scans Authors: Nelisah Torosdagli, Denise Liberton, Payal Verma, Murat Sincan, Janice Lee, Sumantha Pattanaik, and Ulas Bagci
